However, when the inventory replenishment of downstream retailers and brands comes to an end and the end market demand slows down, it is expected that the pressure on panel price cuts in the third quarter will increase significantly.

In terms of the performance of various panel makers, mainland panel makers have the highest market share in terms of shipment volume and shipment area, at 48% and 55%, respectively. Among them, BOE has the highest market share, reaching 32%, followed by Innolux’s 16% and AUO’s 14%. On the whole, mainland panel makers accounted for about 48% of the large-size panel market, followed by Taiwan's panel makers with a market share of about 31%, and South Korean panel makers still maintained a market share of 14%. In terms of large-size panel shipment area, BOE also ranks first with a market share of about 26%, followed by TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics with 15%, and LGD with 13%. In the second quarter, mainland panel makers accounted for 55% of large-size panel shipments, followed by Taiwanese panel makers at 21% and South Korean panel makers at 15%.

Both the quarterly growth rate and the annual growth rate of large-size OLED panel shipments in the second quarter increased by double digits. Samsung Display leads in OLED notebook panel shipments, while LGD leads in OLED TV panel shipments. South Korean panel makers accounted for 91% of the total shipments of large-size OLED panels, followed by mainland panel makers with 9%. LGD has a market share of 100% in OLED TV panel shipments, Samsung has a market share of about 82% in large-size flat panel and laptop OLED panel shipments, and Hehui Optoelectronics has a market share of about 18%.
